The Publication is designed to enable selection of the grade of Hansom Activated Carbon best suited to your needs. Hansom Activated Carbon offers an ideal solution - both practically and economically - to purification problems, be it the removal of undesirable colors, odor or other impurities from liquids or solutions. This "Adsorption" process by Hansom Activated Carbon is physical which involves no chemical change. The Adsorption qualities of carbon were well known long before this "Activation" was discovered. The absorption powers of ordinary Carbon are enhanced tremendously by this activation process, which can be by physical or chemical process. Hansom Activated Carbon offers several advantages in many applications as products are tailored to user0s requirement. It is more economical to use and provides greater flexibility. Hansom Activated Carbon is highly adsorptive in different grades of uniform & consistent quality. The process is designed & carefully controlled from raw material until the final stage of product. The resulting activated carbon consists mainly of pure carbon with a very low percentage of impurities derived from the raw material. Moisture content & PH can be varied depending on the intended use of the activated carbon. Hansom Activated Carbon has several features which makes it ideal for various applications. Among these features are: EXCELLENT ADSOPTIVE CAPACITY Because of its excellent adsorptive capacity, satisfactory results in decolorizing/purification are obtained with a minimum dosage of Hansom Activated Carbon. This ensures economy of usage. EASY FILTRATION This exceptional feature is due to the controlled particle size distribution of the carbon, which allows excellent very efficient filtration with any filter. The ease of filtration allows higher production efficiency at the user0s end. UNIFORM QUALITY Manufactured by modern production facilities under strict quality control. All grades of Hansom Activated Carbon are delivered in dependable, & uniform quality. HIGH WETTABILITY Hansom Activated Carbon goes into suspension with a minimum of 0dusting0. 2. COAL BASES IMPREGNATED ACTIVATED CARBON

HANSOM ACTIVATED CARBON HAS MANY KINDS OF IMPREGNATED CARBON TO MEET DIFFERENT SPECIAL CHEMICAL TREATMENTS.

(1) Sulphur Impregnated Activated Carbon

Specifications:
Carbon Substrate: Iodine value: 1000 mg/g, CTC: 70% min, Moisture: 5% max; Hardness: 90% min; Ash content: 12% max; Size: Æ 4.0mm or 3.0mm .
After Impregnation: Sulfur Content: 15% min; Bulk Density: 580 +/- 50 mg/g

(2) NaOH Impregnated Activated Carbon

Carbon Substrate: CTC: 60% min, Moisture: 5% max; Hardness: 90% min; Ash content: 10% max; Size: Æ 4.0mm or 3.0mm .
After Impregnation: NaOH Content: 10% min; Moisture: 18% max

(3) KOH Impregnated Activated Carbon

Carbon Substrate: CTC: 60% min, Moisture: 5% max; Hardness: 90% min; Ash content: 10% max; Size: Æ 4.0mm or 3.0mm .
After Impregnation: KOH Content: 5% min; Moisture: 18% max

(4) CuO Impregnated Activated Carbon

(5) CuCl 2 Impregnated Activated Carbon

Wood based Activated Carbon

Hansom Wood Based Activated Carbon is manufactured from specially selected sawdust & its charcoal and activated by means of chemical or steam.

There are two kinds of HANSOM wood based Activated Carbon, the one is GA series which is produced by chemical (ZnCl2 or H3PO4) activation process using well selected sawdust, the other is EA (including SH) series which is manufactured by steam activation process using carefully selected sawdust charcoal from various tropical wood species as the base material. Hansom Activated Carbon owes its great adsorption powers to the very large internal surface area, which varies from 800 to 1500 M2/g depending on the grades.

1. GA SERIES ACTIVATED CARBON

GA SERIES ACTIVATED CARBONS are strong adsorption grades, made from carefully selected qualified sawdust, activated by chemical (ZnCl 2 or H 3 PO 4 ) activation and pulverized to the required size. They are all the black fine powder with super strong adsorption and low contents of foreign matter.

2. EA SERIES ACTIVATED CARBON

EA SERIES Activated Carbons are general-purpose types of Hansom Activated Carbon with a very high efficiency.

Carefully selected sawdust charcoal is activated by steam and pulverized to the required size. There is all fine black fine powder with strong adsorption, low contents of foreign matter.
